Synopsis:
Marla Latham receives a message from Reep indicating that his mission to retrieve Mysa was a success. Marla then reflects on his first meeting with Reep's father. Marla was working at Metropolis Spaceport when a Durlan mysteriously appeared. He saves the Durlan from racist dock workers, then helps to smuggle him back to Durla. The Durlan has no memories, and due political conditions on Durla, he is trapped there for ten years. The Durlan mated with the sister of the smuggler, Theg, who gave birth to Reep and Liggt. The Durlan and Theg then escapes Durla.
The Durlan now calls himself Rene Jacques Brande. Theg became Doyle. Together they started a successful business creating artificial stars. R.J. recruited Marla who did not know at the time that he was the Durlan. R.J. later bought out Doyle which led to bad blood. R.J.'s memories of the 20th Century also began to manifest.
When Doyle tried to have R.J. assassinated, Brande was saved by three teens. He financed and encouraged them to become the Legion. Later, Brande had Marla recruit his son Reep for the team.
Back in the present, Rokk and Rond Vidar watch Laurel Gand defeat some Khunds. Rokk then learns that Laurel and Rond have an infant daughter, Lauren.
