Superman finds evidence that Sterling is innocent, but the governor won't believe it. Superman then tracks down the Chameleon and thwarts his next crime. After capturing the crook, he tricks him into confessing to the diamond robbery and the frame job on Sterling. Superman had a television camera film him in action and broadcasts the confession to the governor. Sterling is pardoned, and the real criminal is sent to prison.
