Synopsis:
Stretch and Ted visit Epicure Skinner, Stretch's uncle. Ep's cook Emily is reknowned for her cooking, but when the guests arrive, they are served plain beans. Stretch learns that Emily's husband Joe has disappeared. She is distraught and unable to cook, so Stretch investigates.

Wildcat also joins in the search and finds Joe working with a gang of harbor pirates. Wildcat and Stretch manage to apprehend the crooks and Joe. Uncle Ep explains to Emily that her husband is a crook and will be sent to jail. She then tells him that Joe was the real cook and with him in prison, there will be no fabulous meals.
