Synopsis:
Matt Cable and Abigail Arcane return to the bayou in search of Swamp Thing. They are attacked, first by a giant mutated alligator, then by giant worms. Swamp Thing tries to help them, but he is knocked out by the worms.

Matt and Abby are taken by the worms to a domed city under the swamp called New Eden. They meet four other captives and are taken to the leader of the city Professor Zachary Nail. The professor believes that the pollution has doomed the human race, so he built the city to save humanity. He wants Matt and the others to join him. Matt refuses.

While Matt organizes an escape plan, Swamp Thing follows the worms to the city. Matt and the others break out and grab Nail. Only then do the worms, who had appeared to serve him, reveal their true intentions. They intend to use the humans as food. A fight with the worms ensues. Swamp Thing arrives in time to help, but Nail shoots Ruth, one of the other captives, then blows up the city. Swamp Thing gets everyone else out in time.

Swamp Thing leaves Matt and the others behind after the city explodes. He finds a glowing crystal in the swamp which, when touched, transports him to a place inhabited by dinosaurs.
