Synopsis:
While awaiting the results of a ballistics test to provide information on a murder investigation, the Sandman catches a woman breaking into his wall safe. The girl, Dian Ware, confesses that she is a safecracker raised by criminals. She is breaking into Wesley's safe for Black Bill Trent who claims to have knowledge about Dian's real father. Dian, learning Wes is the Sandman, agrees to help him catch the murderers if he helps her find her father.

When Dian tries to get the ballistics report for Wes, crooks surprise her and wound Sandman. Sandman and Dian escape with evidence implicating Trigger Hunt and Black Bill Trent in the murder. Sandman then brings the evidence to the district attorney, who wants to arrest the crimefighter. Sandman also provides D.A. Belmont with evidence that Dian is his daughter. Reunited with his lost family, the D.A. gratefully allows the Sandman to leave.
