This story was not originally titled; the title shown here was given on the contents page of The Golden Age Sandman Archives Vol. 1 in which this story is reprinted.

Synopsis:
The gang of Squat Stacey robs the guests at a society party attended by Wesley Dodds. Wes follows the crooks as the Sandman and retrieves the stolen loot. Squat suspects that Wes is the Sandman, so he orders his men to kidnap Dodds.

Wes is brought back to Squat's hide-out as a captive. When Dian discovers that Wes was kidnapped she follows the crooks. Dressed in Wes's costume, Dian successfully helps free Wes and together they defeat the crooks.
