Synopsis:
The Phantom Stranger hears of two mysterious deaths in which the victims rapidly aged in minutes. He is then paid a visit by fiction writer Daniel Gleason who explains that there have been even more deaths, and each of the victims was reading his latest book.

The Phantom Stranger senses evil within the book. Gleason tells him it includes a Mayan chant. When the writer speaks the chant aloud, the Mayan death god Ah Puch manifests and takes Gleason as its host. Unprepared for the arrival, the Phantom Stranger falls victim to Ah Puch who begins to feed on him.
