Synopsis:
The beings known as the Chosen move into a new west coast home. They discuss their future plans and eventually decide to call themselves the New Guardians. When Jet and Gloss visit a night club, they meet Piet Broem, a former boxer now working for South African supremacist Janwillem Kroef. He sends a vampire name Hemo-Goblin against them who bites Jet. When the heroes get the upper hand, the villain flees.

Gloss and Jet return home. The other New Guardians help begin tracking Hemo-Goblin to a hotel where they confront him. Extrano is cut during the fight, but the New Guardians prevail. They escape before security arrives, but they leave the Hemo-Goblin for the police.

Later Tom Kalmaku sees the battle on the news and pays the group a visit. He informs the New Guardians that the Hemo-Goblin has died while in custody. It has also been determined that the villain was already sick from AIDS.
