Comments:
This story is continued from New Guardians #9 and continues in New Guardians #11.

Synopsis:
While the New Guardians escape from Kroef's exploding compound, the South African leader leaves by helicopter with Tom Kalmaku. He drops Tom into a pit filled with mutant monsters who will apparently tear Tom apart. The New Guardians get Terga to safety then try to track down Kroef. They find a videotape created by their foe which spreads a message of hate and white supremacy. They then intercept a shipment of weapons sent to Kroef. Despite defeating his soldiers, the team does not find their leader.

Meanwhile, back in the pit of mutants, Tom Kalmaku has survived. He is bathed in a glowing light which appear as a manifestation of previously undiscovered super powers.
