Synopsis:
A wall of impenetrable force seals Superman, Batman, Flash, Green Lantern, and Hawkman in the Secret Sanctuary, while the other members are sealed out. After a prolonged fight against alien machines which materialize, the "inside" members discover that Earthmen of the far future are responsible. The future-dwellers have tapped the energy used by the heroes in escaping their traps in order to reverse the effects of the Alien-ator, an invisible menace which has transformed them into alien-appearing beings.

The Alien-ator, driven from the future, travels back to the JLA's era, pursued by the super-heroes. In the time stream, they encounter the Endless One, an unstoppable gelatinous creature which bars their passage. After Batman and Green Lantern devise a way to overcome the time-being using the chronal energy created by Despero, ther heroes return to the present, only to find their fellow members have been transformed into enemies by the Alien-ator.

Their powers increased, the "alienated" Wonder Woman, J'onn J'onzz, Green Arrow, Aquaman, Atom, and Snapper Carr easily defeat their teammates, but the future-men's device again uses the energy of their struggle to reverse the alien-ating process, and returns them all to normal.
