This story is continued from New Gods #20.

Synopsis:
Orion confronts a helpless Darkseid on Apokolips, but he cannot bring himself to kill his own father. Darkseid explains that the only way to defeat Yuga Khan is for a son to kill his father. Darkseid then leads Orion to Lump, a being of pure mind. They both connect themselves to Lump and enter a dream world. Inside, Darkseid taunts Orion, demanding that his son kill him.

Outside the dream world, Yuga Khan defeats the army from New Genesis. He then travels to the Source wall where he meets Izaya. Khan continues to seek the knowledge of the Source and joins with it.

In the dream world, Orion realizes that he cannot kill Darkseid without violating a universal law that a god cannot kill his father. Instead, he allows Darkseid to live, and the both exit the dream.
