Synopsis:
Crime fiction writer Bramwell B. Bramwell recruits several gang bosses and challenges them to a crime contest. Each gang commits their one crime during the month. Whichever crime is judged best, is awarded the Crime of Month and that gang received all the loot.

After the first three gangs strike, Batman suspects that Slim Ryan's gang will try something next. He follows Ryan and watches the gang prepare for a robbery. Batman stops them, then intentionally allows Ryan to escape.

Ryan leads Batman back to Bramwell's manor. Bramwell attempts to kill Batman and Robin, but his elaborate traps fail. Batman captures Bramwell later when the writer tries to pull his own crime by robbing the wealthy spectactors of a movie.
