Synopsis:
Bank teller John Adams takes the deposit of Sylvester Pemberton and uses it to place a bet with crime boss Hot-Horse Herbert. When he wins the bet Herbert refuses to pay and forces Adams to help rob the bank. Adams is then framed for the murder of the night watchman. The Star-Spangled Kid and Stripesy break up the robbery. Adams pleads his case to the heroes who offer him a second chance.
Stripesy has invented a time machine which he uses to send Adams back in time by twelve hours. This time Adams doesn't take Pemberton's money, but Herbert frames him anyway. Events repeat, but this time Adams expects the arrival of the Star-Spangled Kid at the bank. He locks the heroes in the vault in order to get evidence to prove he didn't kill the watchman. Once he collects the evidence, he releases the Kid and Stripesy. Together they take down Herbert.
