Synopsis:
Tommy Tucker is a genius inventor. When he sells his first invention to the Atlas Machine Company, they cheat him. Tucker decides to get revenge and begins using his inventions for criminal purposes. He puts together a gang and begins using the name Mr. Gadget.

Mr. Gadget's crimes soon come to the attention of the Star-Spangled Kid and Stripesy. The heroes clash with the crook several times and are nearly killed in their own Star Rocket Racer. After escaping, Stripesy creates an invention of his own. They then lure Mr. Gadget into a trap. Using Stripesy's decoy gadgets, the heroes are able to apprehend the gang. Despite their efforts however, Mr. Gadget escapes.
