Synopsis:
Metropolis is plagued by swarms of destructive insects. The city receives a blackmail demand from the Insect Master, who claims to be controlling the insects. Superman rescues people endangered by the insects as the city refuses the Insect Master's demands. After the insect swarms continue, the city finally gives in and delivers payment to the crook. Lois follows and is kidnapped by the Insect Master. Superman tracks her to the Insect Master's lair. He rescues her, while the crook is killed when his lab catches fire.
