Synopsis:
As Batman and Robin are closing in to capture Slippery Jim Elgin, an explosion destroys a nearby building. The explosion allows Slippery Jim to escape, but he is injured. The doctor informs him that a magnetic piece of metal is lodged in his brain. Proximity to any metal will cause the fragment to move and eventually kill him.

The crook resumes his criminal activities while trying to avoid metal. Batman eventually deduces that Slippery Jim's new methods and tracks him to a plastics exhibit. However, Jim and his gang catch Batman and fit him with an explosive collar triggered by metal. Batman is able to escape the collar, rescue Robin, and track down Elgin. However, Slippery Jim dies from a fatal exposure to metal.
