Synopsis:
Jonathan Klegg invents a machine that can launch fireballs. He unleashes a giant fireball in New York which destroys everything in its path. Zatara clears the area to minimize damage. He then tracks down the ship from which Klegg launched the attack. However, he is caught offguard and thrown out.

Klegg lands his ship and is met by his father and sister. They oppose Jonathan's actions, so he takes them captive. Zatara comes to their rescue and builds a device designed by Klegg's father to stop the fireballs. Zatara delivers the device to the military to thwart Klegg's next attack. The magician then goes after Klegg again. This time Zatara prevails and apprehends the crook.
