Synopsis:
Superman returns to Smallville for the first time since he became Superman. When he visits the site where his rocket crashed, he discovers a message from his father Jor-El buried in the Earth. The message is Jor-El's will and details tells Superman how to construct many of Jor-El's greatest inventions. Superman constructs a few of them, but decides most are too dangerous for Earth.

One invention measures the nuclear fission inside Earth's core. Superman uses the device and learns that Earth is doomed just like Krypton. Superman uses the knowledge passes on by his father to work on a formula that will save Earth. When disasters begin to occur worldwide, Superman fails to answer calls for help, choosing instead to perfect the formula. Superman finally succeeds where his father failed and creates a solution that will save the Earth. Once he applies the formula, the worldwide disasters cease and order is restored.
