Comments:
Doc claims to have assembled the Metal Men during an Aurora Borealis. He believes it is responsible for the human behavior of the robots.
Synopsis:
After Tina has another spat with Doc Magnus, she flies the jetaway into space. The other Metal Men join her. They follow a distress beacon to a world inhabited by wooden robots. The alien robots are under attack by robot termites. The Metal Men help to fight the termites, but are turned into miniature pretzels in the process. The termites retreat, but plan to attack instead.
The transformed Metal Men return to Earth to repair themselves. Tina restores their shapes, but in the process they become immobile toys. The toys are then given to a blind child, while the termites begin the siege of Earth. Fortunately, the boy cries, and his tears revive the Metal Men. The restored robots then fight off the termites, sacrificing themselves in the process. Doc finds their remains and rebuilds them.
