Synopsis:
Superman begins to act uncontrollable. He destroys property and helps criminals, but does not understand why he is behaving strangely. Supergirl looks for the cause and is informed by a Kandorian, Lon-Es that Superman is acting under a hypnotic influence. When Superman was a baby on Krypton, a criminal, Ral-En with the ability of Hyper-Hypnosis, used his abilities to make the people of Krypton believe he had super-powers. Jor-El exposed the fraud and in revenge, Ral-En hypnotized Kal-El.
Now years later, that hypnotic suggestion is taking effect due to the presence of a blue comet. Supergirl manages to get a space creature to eat the comet and remove its presence from space. Superman is restored to normal without the comet present to trigger his hypnotic suggestion.
