A manhunt begins. Superman is pursued across he country by Lubanian agents attempting to apprehend him. Koslov sends agent disguised as Batman into the field to trick the Man of Steel into giving himself away. Superman realizes that one Batman is a fake and takes his costume. When he encounters a second man in a Batman costume, the two fight. Only after a fierce battle does Superman learn that it is the real Batman.
