Comments:
The Amazons encountered in this story might be related to the Amazons from Paradise Island, home of Wonder Woman. They worry about a man setting foot on their island, but the island they are on does not appear to be Paradise Island itself.

Synopsis:
Lois and Clark are participating in a costume contest aboard a luxury liner. Lois is dressed as the war god Mars, and Clark is dressed as Superman. The two reporters are thrown overboard accidentally in a lifeboat. They land on a small island inhabitted by Amazons.

The Amazons believe Lois is a legendary queen. Lois pulls a sword from a stone, which Superman had loosened, confirming her status. Using the magic sword, with secret help from Superman, Lois saves the Amazons from several dangers.

When Clark and Lois are ready to leave, Lois leaves the sword imbedded in the stone again. A navy carrier picks up the stranded reporters, leaving Lois wondering about the magic of the sword.
