Synopsis:
Bobo attends a sheriff's training program given by the state police. Bobo shows his detective skills in the classroom by correctly solving several hypothetical cases. Unknown to the teacher and other students, Bobo's successes are really just accidents as he was seeking items to add to his marble and matchbook collections.

When two thieves pass the school, the students follow in pursuit. Bobo assists in their capture, again accidentally succeeding while trying to find items for his collections. Bobo graduates at the head of his class, even though he had no idea of the real circumstances.
