Synopsis:
The Green Lantern Corps make a stand against Legion. They try to prevent him from reaching the Guardians who are asleep in meditation chambers. Many of their number die. They fail to stop Legion from entering the Guardians' chamber. He awakens them.
Hal Jordan then drags Legion outside and covers him in mud. He is then able to use his ring directly on Legion since he is no longer yellow. After beating Legion, the creature explains its grievance with the Guardians. Though Hal is able to understand, he knows of the damage which Legion inflicted on Earth. He then cuts open Legion's armor. This causes the creature inside to be released. It grows and a tremendous rate and threatens to envelop everything in its path.
