Synopsis:
J'onn is chases around the world by a phantom which he eventually identifies as H'ronmeer a legendary martian god. H'ronmeer tries to confront J'onn with an unrealized truth about his past, but J'onn resists. Eventually J'onn's mind shuts down and the Justice League brings him to one of their Rome embassy for help.

At the embassy, H'ronmeer disables several of the League members and finds an unexpected ally in Mister Miracle. J'onn awakens and takes off again with a feeling that Scott has betrayed him. The Martian Manhunter's flight brings him to Colorado, where an old hermit finds him. The man sees to know J'onn and gives him refuge. H'ronmeer finds them and identifies the man as Dr. Erdel, the scientist who brought J'onn to Earth.
