This story shows the early effects of Crisis on Infinite Earths in Skartaris.

This story is continued from Warlord #96.

Synopsis:
The Warlord leads a band of commandos under the city of Shamballah to knock out the weapons of the occupying forces. Lord Sabretooth has been forewarned of Morgan's plan and ambushes his men. Trogero and Scarhart are killed, while Morgan is forced to retreat.

Above ground, Machiste leads the main force of the army against Shamballah. However, the forces of New Atlantis are prepared for the attack. They use the weapons Morgan was trying to disable to force Machiste into a retreat. Lord Kaldustan and many of his forces are among those killed in battle.

Morgan and other survivors arrive back at the refugee camp in the Valley of the Lion. Morgan blames Graemore for revealing the attack plan to the enemy. Lord Sabretooth then arrives with his army. A great battle is fought with heavy losses on both sides. Jennifer Morgan battles the witch Saaba who is eventually killed by Shakira. The battle is broken off when the nearby volcano erupts. The Earth itself is experiencing upheaval as a result of a greater Crisis.

When the battle is over, Morgan learns that it was Saaba who betrayed his battle plans. Graemore in an effort to prove himself fought in battle and was seriously wounded. Tara promises that she will never forgive Morgan if he dies.
