Synopsis:
Following the losses sustained in battle with the army from New Atlantis, Travis Morgan feels guilty. He feels responsible for the failure of the attack on Shamballah and runs from the camp. On the way out, an earthquake opens a fissure which bars his path. Morgan then falls from his horse.

The Warlord awakens in the presence of an old hermit that he met once before. The man describes a great cosmic conflict which is now in progress. He explains that Morgan is a man whose choices will affect many people. He then directs Morgan to the Eye of Truth.

Travis Morgan steps into the Eye of Truth and is confronted by the spirits of the dead. While initially he is filled with guilt, he eventually realizes that a spell was placed on him. He confronts his demons and sees his true enemy, the wizard-king Cykroth. Morgan then returns to the camp with renewed energy and spirit.
