Synopsis:
Silver Shield is revealed to be sentient. Captain Atom and Major Force communicate with it telepathically and learn how it came to Earth. While it recovered, Megala and Sarrok took pieces of it and used it to create Captain Atom and Major Force. Now it is restored and has taken humanoid form.
Silver Shield explains that it cannot return to the quantum field from where it came, but it is eager to learn about Earth. Fearing that Eiling will want to experiment on it, Captain Atom convinces Silver Shield to fake his return into space. Eiling is angry, but he believes the story. Captain Atom then provides Silver Shield with a place to stay and a television with which it can learn about Earth.
