Synopsis:
During an archaeological dig, a strange glowing light appears. Two men walk inside it, and two strange creatures come out. June Robbins who had accompanied the dig team calls the Challengers for help. The Challs tangle with the creatures, but they are held off by the creatures great powers.
Red and Rocky enter the glowing light, and two more creatures emerge. They locate the missing scientists and learn that the creatures are called the Zarxes. The Zarxes have taken over this interdimensional world of Akton and now plan to conquer Earth. Red and Rocky team up with the resistance leaders to overthrow the Zarxes, while a resistance agent, Srella travels to Earth.
Srella fills Ace and Prof in on the story, and Ace formulates a plan based on the actions of the creatures. The remaining Challs travel to Akton with Srella and overcome a few of the guards. Ace believes the creatures are powerless without sunlight, so the Challs try to knock out Akton's artificial sun. They are barely able to do so, but without the sun the Zarxes are no match for the Akton natives.
