Synopsis:
The Challs return to the site of some ancient ruins. They visited the ruins before and became woozy. The feeling occurs again. They are transported backwards in time through a vortex.
The leader of the ancient civilization is Hunzar. He captures the Challs, but they escape. Locating a member of the local resistance, the Challs are taken underwater where they see a carving of themselves. They are known as traitors to the resistance.
The Challs are brought before X-2, the resistance leader. She explains that the Challs appeared one year ago and helped Hunzar escape capture. He would later go on to power. The Challs believe the earlier experience of wooziness near the ruins accounts for the trip, and Hunzar must have blanked their memories.
The Challs assault Hunzar’s base. They are able to get inside, and Ace takes possession of the controls to Hunzar’s robot sentries. The Challs begin to be transported in time again. Ace throws the control box to X-2 before leaving. Unsure of victory upon their return, Prof dives underwater. The carving has been changed to proclaim the Challengers heroes, indicating that X-2 was triumphant.
