Synopsis:
Batman tracks Commissioner Gordon to Louisiana. He learns that Gordon has been contacted by an old Navy buddy concerning a plot involving the Manhunters. Gordon's buddy is killed before he can reveal the identity of a Manhunter spy in the White House.

After saving Gordon's life, Batman meets Jim Corrigan and together they enter the Manhunter temple. They find most of the Manhunters destroyed. Jim suspects the Spectre is responsible. They are able to rescue a group of human hostages held within the compound before Karin Grace detonates an explosive device which destroys the building.
