Synopsis:
Millionaire Lars Hawkins is the victim of an ancient curse upon his family. He requests that Rip Hunter travel into the past to acquire the antidote from the wizard who created the curse.

Rip and the team travel to the 14th century and meet Hawkins ancestor, Duc de Ogilvie. The Wizard Vareau turns the Duc into a beast and sends him against Rip. Rip traps the beast in a pit, then pursues the antidote. During his time in the pit, the Duc befriends Corky, so when everyone is trapped by the wizard, the beast rescues Corky and attacks the wizard. Both beast and wizard are killed, but Rip recovers the antidote, returning it to Hawkins in the present, where it reverses the curse.
