Synopsis:
When Ted Grant interrupts his training to look out the window, he notices that no one in the street in moving. Curious, he investigates as Wildcat. Ted sees some crooks kidnap a young girl. He attempts to rescue her, but he is knocked out.

When Wildcat recovers, he finds himself a prisoner. The girl is the daughter of a scientist specializing in sound waves. The crook is the scientist's assistant, who has created a device to paralyze people over short distances using sound. The crook, Rex Velon, forces the girl to reveal the location of her father's hidden lab, so that he can expand the range of his device. The girl leaves a secret message for Wildcat, so that when he escapes the trap, he can find the crooks and the lab. Wildcat deciphers her clue, apprehends the crooks, and rescues the girl.
