Comments:
This story, which takes place in early January, 1942, is continued from All-Star Squadron #10 and continues in All-Star Squadron #12.
Synopsis:
After listening to the alien, Akhet, demand surrender from the United States, the All-Star Squadron attacks him. They are easily defeated and Akhet takes Hawkgirl, Atom, Steel, and Robotman prisoner aboard the flying eye. Then he travels to other nation’s demanding surrender from them as well.
Hawkman arrives in Washington, while the All-Star’s, Roosevelt, and Churchill develop a plan of action. Hawkman believes there is a connection between the flying eye and a government brain trust. He and the All-Star’s investigate the home of Elwood Napier, and Hawkman recognizes an ominous face in one of Napier’s photos.
Aboard the flying eye, Atom and Hawkgirl defeat Akhet and find Robotman and Steel tied up with some other scientists. Hawkgirl recognizes the man behind the flying eye as Anton Hastor, Hawkman’s first foe.
