Synopsis:
When Superboy testifies in a case against a juvenile delinquent, a note is delivered to the judge accusing Superboy of being a minor without parents. The judge refuses to accept Superboy’s explanation that he can’t reveal his adoptive parents, and Superboy is to be sent to a boys home.

A Smallville couple, the Hurds, step forward and request to adopt Superboy. The judge agrees to allow it as a provisionary adoption. The Hurds then use Superboy’s notarioty to make money for themselves. Superboy learns of their plan and schemes to stop them. After making their lives miserable for a few days, the Hurds gladly give Superboy up.

The judge again wants to send Superboy to live at a boys home. However, a town committee proves Superboy is more intelligent and stronger than any adult and should be treated as such. The judge agrees, and Superboy is declared an adult.
