This is a Detached Service Diary story featuring Chuck.

Synopsis:
During the test of an experimental space balloon the Blackhawks are forced to bail out when a meteorite destroys the balloon. Chuck's space suit is damaged, and he is exposed to the rigors of outer space. Doctors diagnose Chuck's condition as terminal. He then undergoes an experimental treatment to save his life. The treatment causes terrible hallucinations, but they eventually pass. Chuck is cured and survives the test.
