Synopsis:
Slam Bradley is arrested for the murder of Pete Graves. Slam had been fighting with Graves before the murder, making him the likely suspect. At the police station a man claiming to be Pete’s lawyer arrives and accuses Slam of the killing.

Slam has Shorty follow the lawyer to a garage. When Shorty is caught, the lawyer and his pals threaten to kill him. Meanwhile, Slam is released on bail only to find Pete’s sister Betty in his apartment with a gun. She tries to kill Slam, but he escapes to meet Shorty at the garage.

When Slam arrives Shorty is already gone. The crooks intend to drop him off a building under construction. Slam follows and rescues Shorty. He then obtains a confession from the lawyer that Pete was killed in order to scare other construction workers into joining a racketeer union. Slam’s name is then cleared of the murder charge.
