Synopsis:
Lois Lane visits an army base and meets Eddie Banning, Jr., a solider stationed there. Eddie likes Lois, but Lois is not interested in him. However, when Eddie is around Lois pretends to be in love with him. She later reveals to Clark Kent that she is only after Eddie because his father is a movie producer.

Lois continues her charade with Eddie. The young soldier ignores the warnings given by everyone that Lois is a two-timer and a phony. Eddie proposes to Lois, and she accepts. However, during the ceremony, Lois reveals she doesn’t like Eddie. The young soldier is heartbroken, and Superman is forced to prevent him from killing himself.

When he is brought back, Eddie reveals that he was acting too. He and Lois planned the entire charade to convince Eddie’s father that he was a talented actor. The elder Banning certainly was impressed, especially since even Superman was fooled.
