Synopsis:
Superman and Batman receive a summons from General Hill concerning a top secret project. On the way to meet the general, the heroes see Jor-El and Lara. When they approach, the couple disappears. Superman is confused because before disappearing Jor-El mentioned a crime that he intended to commit.

The heroes continue to the army base only to find that the general was injured and won't be able to talk to them for several days. While waiting Superman decides to take a trip through time to investigate the strange appearance of his parents. Batman joins him as they go back in time and space to Krypton before Superman's own birth.

Superman and Batman soon meet Jor-El and help to calm a student demonstration. Jor-El and Lara then sneak away to a secret crime school meeting. Superman and Batman follow, but they are captured and placed in a glass cage. Jor-El offers them freedom if they can escape. The heroes risk death and are successful. They then join Jor-El's school and prove excellent students.

When the training is complete, Jor-El explains the purpose of the crime school. Superman and Batman are being sent to Bokos, an island where crime is legal and good behavior results in exile. They are sent to retrieve the recently unearthed body of Calox, an ancient explorer who was thought to be a god to stone age Kryptonians. Using their skills, Superman and Batman succeed in bringing the body to Jor-El who discovers that Calox is not dead. He is in suspended animation.

Superman and Batman then disappear. They reappear on Earth. General Hill explains that the army has created a time vortex. Jor-El and Lara were brought to Earth temporarily, but returned after twenty minutes. The heroes, who have also been brought to Earth via the vortex will return to Krypton too. Instead of losing the heroes, Hill destroys the machine. Without it, the heroes are stranded back on Earth where they belong.
