Comments:
Superboy’s mind prober ray, which can bring forth buried memories, is shown for the first time in this story.
The Kent General Store is shown as a replica on Krypton. However this must be incorrect since at this time, the Kents still lived on a farm.
Synopsis:
Superboy uses a new invention to regain his memories of his life on Krypton. He remembers his father, Jor-El, launching his puppy, Krypto, into space. His mother, Lara, is angry at Jor-El for sending away her son’s pet. She takes young Kal-El and leaves.
Lara goes shopping, and baby Kal gets into trouble. During a space launch, Kal hits the controls and launches a rocket which knocks Krypto’s capsule back to Krypton. Krypto is recovered and reunited with a happy Kal-El. Superboy decides he will come back later to view his later experiences on his home planet.
