Comments:
Jonathan Kent's father is named Matthew in this story, which contradicts the name Hiram given to him in the second story of Superboy #77. It is possible that Hiram is Mr. Kent's middle name.
The time travel portion of this story takes place in 1900. Smallville High School is founded at this time.
Synopsis:
After Clark Kent receives a scolding from his father, he time-travels into the past. When he arrives to find information about the construction of Smallville High, Superboy discovers a young Jonathan Kent. Though he remains hidden, Superboy helps Jonathan finish some chores, though the boy still receives scoldings from his father.
When Superboy returns to the present, he tells Jonathan that he witnessed foster-father as a boy being scolded. Jonathan explains that the man scolding him was his uncle Simon, not his father Matthew. Jonathan credits his uncle for teaching him the proper way to behave.
