Synopsis:
Jimmy Olsen is upstaged by a new member of his own fan club, Mark Quentin. Mark helps Superman on several occasions, eventually leading the Man of Steel to choose Mark over Jimmy as his pal.
Jimmy is upset by his friend's betrayal. When crooks approach him to run their underworld newspaper, he agrees to work for them. The crooks offer a reward for the secret of Superman's identity, so Jimmy leads them to Clark Kent. He then alerts Superman to the criminal plot, having chosen Clark Kent, because Superman couldn't possibly be the timid reporter.
Superman then reveals to Jimmy that the crooks were really FBI agents. He hoaxed Jimmy to test his loyalty. Mark Quentin was really Aqualad in disguise. Jimmy has passed the test and remains Superman's pal.
