Synopsis:
While seeking shelter from a storm, Hawkman and Hawkgirl discover a remote volcanic island. On the island, they meet a race of fire-people living inside an extinct volcano. The fire-people have a legend of a winged man leading them to victory over their enemies.

Outside the volcano live a race of water-people who are at war with the fire-people. They also have a legend of a winged man leading them to victory. A war breaks out between the two races. Hawkman uses his legendary status to stop the war. He then convinces both groups to live in peace.
