This story continues in Adventures of Superman #444.

Synopsis:
Superman senses that he is being followed while flying through the sky. He takes evasive action which causes his pursuer to reveal herself. Following him is a blond girl in a costume resembling his own. When confronted her facial features shift into those of Lana Lang. She claims that she was given super powers by Lex Luthor. When Superman reacts to this, the girl becomes confused and attacks him.

After Superman is knocked to the ground, he tunnels under the Earth to the home of Lana Lang. He finds Lana and the Kents tied up inside her house. After releasing them, Superman realizes where the other Lana originated. He engages the costumed girl again and is able to get her to stop fighting long enough to introduce her to Lex Luthor in Metropolis.

Supergirl is shocked out of her confusion. Superman then explains that she must have come from the universe created by the Time Trapper that he once visited. Just then a vortex opens which brings Superman and Supergirl to the other universe where Lex Luthor is waiting.
