Synopsis:
Batman is accused of murder, when another man wearing a Batman costume kills two muggers. Barnes, the deputy police commissioner, tries to arrest Batman, but he gets away. When the phony Batman kills again, Batman and Commissioner Gordon are able to piece together clues and learn that the imposter is really Tommy Carma, an ex-police detective, who was fired for brutality.
Batman tracks Carma to his mother's home and finds a replica Batcave with newspaper clippings dating back to early in Batman's career. He also learns that Carma's next target is an ex-mob assassin known as the Snuffer who is currently in custody. Batman prevents the murder of the Snuffer, then defeats Carma is a fight.
