This story is both the final pre-Crisis issue of Justice League of American and first post-Crisis appearance of the JLA. For the purpose of this index, post-Crisis continuity begins on page 21 of this issue. Characters appearing prior to this event are considered completely separate from those appearing after, though each may have a similar history to their counterpart. For example, the Justice League appearing before page 21 (designated pre-Crisis) includes the pre-Byrne Superman and Wonder Woman as members, while the Justice League appearing after page 21 (designated post-Crisis) does not have Wonder Woman as a member and Superman is the post-Byrne version.

Firestorm appears here between pages 6 and 20 of Legends #1. The post-Crisis JLA first appear in Legends #1 though this story precedes that appearance chronologically.
