Part II:"Wedding Bells for Supergirl"
Synopsis:
Linda Danvers meets a new student at Stanhope, Steve Robbins. Steve is athletic and smart and asks her out on a date. She accepts his offer expecting to have to hold back from using her powers. Instead Steve seems to demonstrate unnatural athleticism and even rescues Linda with levitation after she falls while rock climbing.
Steve eventually reveals that he is really Prince Raynor from a world deep inside the Earth. He possesses super powers granted to him by a rare nectar which he drinks. Raynor brings Supergirl to his home where she is accepted by his people and parents.
However, one small group of outlaws want to steal the nectar for themselves. They capture Supergirl, who mysteriously has lost her powers. Raynor rescues her, but he calls off their relationship. He fears for her safety. Supergirl deduces that her power loss was a temporary effect of Red Kryptonite exposure, but Raynor ends their romance anyway. The Girl of Steel returns home with a greater understanding of how Lois Lane must feel.
