Synopsis:
A train carrying Dian Belmont is mysteriously derailed by a powerful magnetic force. The train is carrying a load of gold bricks which are magnetically pulled through the wall of a freight car into a spherical ship. Dian radios the Sandman who arrives as the ship is taking off into the air.

The Sandman uses his wirepoon to hoist himself and Dian into the ship where they find scientist Edgar Edley. The scientist uses a powerful repelling ray to pin the couple to the wall of his ship. He then explains that he has found a way to utilize the power of comets to power his inventions.

Edley demonstrates another of his fabulous machines for his captives. This device restores the scientist's youth. However, the power drain allows the Sandman to free himself. During the ensuing fight with Edley, the Sandman is thrown out of the ship, but his wirepoon saves him. After pulling himself back inside, the masked hero defeats Edley and turns his devices over to the authorities.
