Synopsis:
Orion has returned four escaped prisoners of Darkseid to Earth. He takes the group to the apartment of Dave Lincoln, one of the former captives. Inside, Darkseid awaits with Brola. Orion and Brola battle it out. When Orion prevails Darkseid disappears.
While Orion fills in his new friends, Darkseid returns to Apokolips where DeSaad is testing a new fear inducing machine. With the test complete, Darkseid gives permission for the device to be tested on Earth. Orion's friends, as well as other people nearby, are overcome by fear. Only Orion can resist. He locates the source of the fear and destroys it. DeSaad wants to rebuild, but Darkseid finds no trace of thought waves he was seeking.
