Synopsis:
Swamp Thing and Casey ride a train to Chicago. Along the way, they are attacked by a trio of vampires. Swamp Thing fights them and is thrown from the train near the town of Rosewood. He enters the town and discovers that it has been overrun by vampires. One family led by ghost hunter Larry Childress remains. Swamp Thing helps recover some dynamite which Larry uses to blow up the nearby dam. This kills the vampires, but Larry and his son Steven are killed in the blast. Only Larry's nephew Bobby survives. Swamp Thing leaves him behind and continues his search for Casey. Unknown to the muck monster, the girl has traveled to Pineboro, Arkansas, a town threatened by recent child slayings.
